- Every letter or notice you’ve received from USCIS, ICE, or the immigration court — even ones you didn’t understand
- Proof of when and how you entered the U.S.
- Marriage, birth, and divorce certificates
Deportation defense
- Your Notice to Appear (Form I-862)
- Any hearing notice with a date on it
- Bond paperwork or an ICE check-in schedule
- Prior orders from a judge, if you have them
- Any criminal court records, including dismissed charges
Green cards through family
- Your relative’s proof of U.S. citizenship or their green card
- Marriage certificate and proof you live as a couple
- Any petition already filed, with its receipt number
- Tax returns for the sponsoring relative
O-1, P-1, EB-1A and similar
- CV or résumé, and a link to your best public profile
- Press coverage, rankings, awards, or title history
- Contracts, offers, or letters of engagement
- Prior visa approvals or denials
Missing everything? That is common and it is fixable. We routinely reconstruct a client’s entire history from government records through FOIA requests — often finding documents people never knew existed. Come as you are.

People hesitate to fill out a form like this. That hesitation is reasonable, so here is exactly how we handle what you send.
We are not immigration enforcement
Camino Immigration is a private law firm. We do not report anyone to ICE, USCIS, or any other agency. Attorneys have a professional duty of confidentiality to people who consult them — that duty attaches when you seek advice, even if you never hire us.
Your status doesn’t change how we treat you
People without status are entitled to a lawyer’s advice. Whether you entered without inspection, overstayed, or have an old removal order, you can talk to us. Knowing the problem is the first step to fixing it.
We ask for less than you’d expect
This form deliberately avoids A-numbers, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth. Those go into our secure client portal later, not into a web form. Fewer sensitive details in transit means less exposure for you.
If someone is monitoring your phone or computer
Survivors of abuse often share a device with the person they are trying to get away from. If that is your situation: use a private or incognito browser window, clear your history after you leave this page, and on the form choose a contact method that is safe for you — we will follow it exactly. You can also reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline free and around the clock at 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788. Nothing you write to us goes to your family.
Fair things to ask before you type anything.
Does filling this out cost anything?
No. Submitting the form is free, and so is the call where we tell you whether we can help. If we take your case, we quote a flat fee in writing before any work starts. You will never get a surprise invoice from us.
Does sending this form make you my lawyer?
No, and that distinction matters. Sending the form starts a conversation. We become your attorneys only when we both sign a written engagement agreement. Until then, please keep meeting any deadline you already have — we cannot appear in your case or file anything for you yet.
I don’t have status. Is it safe to give you my real name?
Yes. A law firm is not an enforcement agency, and what you tell a lawyer when seeking legal advice is confidential — that protection applies even if you never hire us. If you are still uneasy, call (202) 999-3631 instead and ask your questions anonymously first. That is a completely normal thing to do.
Can I do this in Spanish or French?
Sí. Oui. Write your answers in whichever language you think most clearly in — we read all three. Pick your language on step three and that is the language we will call you in. Our Gastonia partner office is staffed entirely in Spanish.
Someone in my family was just detained. Should I use this form?
No — call. Detention moves faster than a web form. Reach us at (202) 999-3631 or on WhatsApp at (561) 903-6797. Have the person’s full legal name, date of birth, and country of birth ready if you can. If you know which facility they are in, tell us that too.
What if you decide you can’t take my case?
We will tell you plainly, and quickly, rather than letting you wait. Where we can, we point you toward a firm or a nonprofit that handles what you need. Being told no by one office is not the end of your options, and you should not pay anyone who suggests otherwise.
I already paid a notario or a consultant. Can you still help?
Often, yes — and you should talk to a licensed attorney as soon as possible. Non-lawyers cannot legally give immigration advice in the United States, and filings they prepare can create real problems, including findings of fraud. Bring whatever was filed on your behalf. We are not going to lecture you; we see this constantly.
How long until someone actually contacts me?
You will get an automatic confirmation with a reference number within minutes. A human calls you within one to two business days. If your matter has a deadline inside that window, do not wait for us to call — phone the office and say so.
